Director for a CySEC Regulated CIF, Limassol

On behalf of our client, we are looking to recruit an executive director for a Cyprus company, the CySEC license of which is pending at the moment. Please refer below to Job Description for details.


Director, CySEC Regulated CIF, Limassol, Cyprus


The Director is an appropriately qualified individual having sufficient knowledge, skills and experience in business management, finance and in capital markets. The Director's duties and responsibilities are set out as follows:

  • To preside over regular meetings of the CIF’s Board and hold general meetings at regular interval;
  • To monitor the operations of the company and make sure that strategic objectives of the company are met;
  • To implement governance arrangements that ensure effective and prudent management ensuring the separation of duties and prevention of conflicts of interest;
  • To guarantee that all rules and regulations are in compliance with requirements;
  • To supervise and ensure the achievement of the CIF’s sales objectives;
  • To follow up developments in the sector and ensure that the company has the sufficient human and technical resources required for the performance of its duties;
  • To maintain irreproachable relations with the Authorities and other organized groups, in order to be continuously briefed on new developments;
  • To review all the reports from the internal auditor and the compliance officer and take necessary actions and corrective measures where appropriate;
  • To receive and approve reports, at least annually, on the risk management, compliance function and internal audit mechanisms of the company;
  • To attend and actively contribute in internal meetings.


  • The candidate must have a degree in Business/ Administration/ Finance/ Law/ Accounting or any other relevant field.
  • The candidate must have a solid experience (minimum 3 years’ experience) in Trading Binary Options and Forex with strong technical knowledge of the industry.
  • The candidate must have good communication skills to work within a diverse team internationally.
  • Excellent knowledge of the English language is a prerequisite.

AML Compliance Officer

AGP Law Firm, based in Limassol, is looking to hire an AML Compliance Officer.

Primary responsibilities include but will not be limited to:

  • Ensuring that overall compliance of regulated entities (investment firms etc.) are in line with the relevant laws and regulations;
  • Developing (drafting, reviewing and updating) the required documentation (i.e. compliance rules, manuals, instructions, policies, procedures etc.);
  • Communicating with the investment firms and the regulatory bodies (CySEC, CBC etc.);
  • Ensuring investment firms fulfill their annual obligations and licence conditions;
  • Conducting compliance audits and monitoring, as well as on-site inspections etc;
  • Investigating potential violations, identifying compliance risks and taking corrective actions;
  • Providing advice, solutions, guidance and training to investment firms on AML and regulatory compliance matters etc.;
  • Undertaking client identification and due diligence of investment firms’ clients;
  • Providing advice to investment firms regarding clients' complaints;
  • Monitoring and analysing new regulations and advising on their impact on investment firms;
  • Preparing and submitting regulatory reports regarding KYC and AML to the CBC, CySEC and to other regulatory bodies in a timely manner etc


  • Degree in Risk Management, in Law or in Business/Finance (or in any other related field);
  • CySEC Advanced Certificate;
  • Working experience in a similar role (at least two years).

Junior Compliance Assistant

Junior Compliance Assistant

AGP Law Firm, based in Limassol, is looking to hire a Junior Compliance Assistant.

Primary responsibilities include but will not be limited to:

  • assisting in the preparation of regulatory files;
  • file management and record keeping of the legal and compliance department;
  • assisting in the creation of Manuals, Business Plans, Charts etc;
  • assisting in the reviewing of questionnaires and application forms;
  • conducting research in the field of Capital Markets;
  • professional internal and external customer service support, as required;
  • liaising with the competent authorities as required.

Desirable background:

  • Law degree

OR if not, then:

  • Working experience (one year at least) in a compliance role, in addition to a degree in any other related field (preferably in Business or Finance)

Languages: Greek and English (proficiency level).

Any professional qualification in Compliance will be an advantage.
